This might be interesting to my colleagues. Here's a Commercial Property flat roof approx. 6000 sf that has a TPO re-roof done 4 or 5 years ago. Attachment shows a Roof Level Survey done with the Zip Level System. The image the readings are shown on was done by our Drone. This is just a part of what will be in our report. Client has had numerous leaks thruout since roof replacement. Thermal Imaging and numerous other reviews will be done.

    Nice, Joe..!

Should be easy for people to identify the areas in question.

Are you using your own drone with cam attached?

If so, please post a picture of the setup. I would be interested on how you have the drone configured.

While we're on the TPO subject. I too ran across a roof a few weeks ago which was actually disintegrating. I've never seen a fairly new TPO roof fail like this in the past. The rubber polymer was turning to dust. I would assume this is a manufacturer defect. I couldn't find any markings on the material to determine who actually manufactured the material. I told the buyer there might me markings on the underside.

Was an odd situation, the building was bank owned, therefore the buyer couldn't ask the previous owner who installed the roof.

Dale, Yes we have our own drones with cameras. 2 of my guys have drones.
I don't know what you mean by "I would be interested on how you have the drone configured".
Here's my guy Dan in pic of drone setup / start, takeoff.
-Otherwise, explain better what you mean by your configure question.

Dale, speaking of TPO roof installations, if you can zoom in on my original photo, check out the joint / seam areas. What do you think about that?
Also, Can you tell the difference between TPO & PVC Roofing (I can, I ask the owner of property). Seriously though- what's your take on that ?

Nice, Joe. I haven't seen a drone with a TI camera installed up close. I was wondering if you had a picture of the drone not in the air, a close up picture of the whole setup.

    On the subject of drones...
I bought this little beast earlier this summer:
    Spark - Seize the Moment

Small little power house that doesn't take up much space. Takes excellent photos, and easy to fly.
Plan to use on the occasional roof that I can't access, which is few and far between, but will come in handy in a pinch!

    Hi Dale,

Most of the DJI drones include a hi-res digital camera already installed on the craft.

I fly a DJI 3 Pro. It shoots great photos, 4K video and is really eas6 to fly. Use it on the roofs I can’t access or to just get a great photo for the front of the report. My biggest complaint is that the camera does not have a zoom lens but most drones don’t due to picture quality while flying. I also use it to get a good map photo to use during reporting. Still need to get my license so don’t use it often with people around.
