It sure would help all claddings if they would put sill flashing that came out over the cladding, after all it is not like the top of the openings are flashed properly.
Most windows and doors have a nail flange and they use the same materials on all sides. And it is by no means Flashing.

Exactly! And they wonder why they end up having moisture intrusion issues.
