I think we all should continue to learn as much as possible about energy loss. I've been asked quite a few questions lately regarding that exact question "energy loss", what windows are good, what type of insulation is the best, and so on and so forth. I've noticed many more people are actually thinking ahead, rather than how to cut corners to save a buck.
The last few months have been a living hell with many home inspections between building inspections. Was inspecting on average three building per seven day work-week. Lately, within the last month, it's been small commercial buildings just about five days a week. Nothing big, most under 10,000 SF.
The money is good, no headaches, reports completed before 3:00-4:00 PM each day. Life is good, I can only hope it keeps getting better.
You folks notice how much of an attitude adjustment one receives without the nonsense home inspections bring?
I haven't done anything differently, no nice website fresh off the press, not advertising any differently, nothing. It seems lately every time I get a call, an email, instead of cringing, I actually look forward to calls emails or texts. On top of that, I haven't ran into one single idiot in over a month. That right there deserves a high-five.
Plus more calls regarding thermal imaging. Although I don't have time nor the experience and knowledge I'd like to have, it's nice to give Jeff a gingle so he has a shot at the job.
Anyway, I believe within the next few years energy loss is going to be really big business, comparatively speaking to what it is now.
